Chances are, your laptop doesn’t have an apple button, or a command button, or any of the other Mac-specific buttons. However, after a bit of fiddling, I may very well have found the alternatives.
Say that you want to copy something. In Windows, you would use Ctrl and C, in Mac Command and C. On a Windows-based machine running Mac, it will be Alt Car and C.
Here is a list of some of the buttons that I have found and what they do. This list will be updated in time so be sure to check back every once in a while.

Customizing this Option
For some, this may become difficult to get used to. There is a way to change the keyboard settings to swap the keys of the main functions.
For instance, I am used to Ctrl + C to copy things. Well, with a small tweak, you can do this on the Mac too.
- Go to your System Preferences and choose keyboard.
- In the Keyboard Settings choose Modifier Keys
- Change the Command Key to Control and the Control Key to Command.
Here is how those same functions will look with this adjustment.
| Key | Function |
| Alt Car | Ctrl |
| Alt | Ctrl |
| Windows | Option Key |
| Ctrl | Command |
| F8 | Spaces* |
| F9 | Expose for all Windows |
| F10 | Expose for the Program |
| F11 | Preview Desktop |
| F12 | Dashboard |

| Alt + X | Cut |
| Ctrl + Shift + 3 | Full screen screenshot to Desktop |
| Ctrl + Shift + 4 | Screenshot of a Region to Desktop |
| Ctrl + Shift + Alt + 3 | Full screen screenshot to Clipboard |
| Ctrl + Shift + Alt + 4 | Screenshot of a Region to Clipboard |
